Well, here it is, our blog, our very own hiphop blog where we will be posting articles about our show, The Ultimate Hip-hop Experience, the newest, hypest hip-hop gig in town. The main purpose of this show is to give the hiphop fans and artists a place where they can hang out every single week. We need to have a common place where we can play our music and perform in front of a live audience. We need a place where we can have activities to revive the hiphop movement. And Yellow Ribbon is the place to be every single Wednesday for The Ultimate Hiphop Experience brought to you by The Anonymous Vedette., with Sobu X-Soldier as the host and the Incredible Dj Cos on the Decks.
HISTORY
The Ultimate Hip-hop Experience has been running for 6 weeks now. Our first show was held on 29th January 2014. Smallz Lethal, a hip-hop artist from Nairobi, who happened to be in his album The Common Mwananchi, graced our first show together with his crew Washamba Wenza. The turnout was so low, but either way, the event went on.
For the past weeks we have had a lot of artists coming to our show. Ohms Law Montana, Kaa La Moto, Jamii Tofauti, Hustlajay, Rayder and many more. We have launched videos, tracks, had live performances all through.
PRESENT TIME
Our show has grown to be the most talked about show, on social media, the most hyped and the fastest growing show in Mombasa. We even got on radio courtesy of Mc Gates and Pwani fm HIPHOP cypher every Wednesday. We are aiming to make it better probably get endorsements from cooperates to see how we will improve the standards of hip-hop movement in Mombasa.
